Drive thru zoo tennessee12/27/2023 ![]() In addition to the zoo, they also had a small vendor fair. Myself, 48 and my 76 year old dad sure do love it! We’ll be back next season! We had planned on riding the train/tram but it wasn’t operating due to staff shortage. For the giraffes, it just the older ones and not the babies. While we didn’t participate in the animal feedings, we have in the past. We did get to see Kipekee, the other baby and all the other giraffes along with the many other animals! All in all, we spent over an hour and a half jut walking around seeing the animals. Of course, like everyone else, the main reason we came was to see Kipekee, the spotless giraffe! We were pleasantly surprised at the new additional enclosures and animals they had added since we were there last. We live almost 2 hours away or we’d go more often. I believe this was our third or fourth visit to this zoo. If I am not in the gift shop our staff will take a message and make sure that I receive it. Therefore, we invite families from Memphis, TN and its surroundings to come and spend a lovely day in nature, taking fabulous photos with animals that can offer. Safari Wild Animal Park is Mississippis premier Safari Park, and is just a short drive south of Memphis on interstate 55. I myself am a veteran and proudly served this great country of ours. Memphis, TN is a 55 Mile drive to our Safari Park in Como, MS. We are working on ways to get that on those sites as well.Īs for military, Thank your husband from us for his service. What is supposed to happen when guests enter after that 3:30 mark is for our staff to apologize and explain why we close ticket sales at 3:30. The zoo itself does happen to close at 5:00pm. The average guests will spend 1.5 to 2 hours in the zoo (longer if you participate in feedings, keeper chats, etc). We do our last entry at 3:30 and have tried to post that info in every location possible. Are you that cheap that you can't be thankful of them all?įirst and foremost I would like to apologize if one any of my staff members came across as rude in any way. My husband fought 21 years for you to have this freedom and you are putting a hirer emphasis on someone who may have only been in 3 months. I think its wrong of this establishment to charge a different price for active and retired military. May you experience this yourself somewhere so you might learn from your mistakes. No compromise, no I am sorry, I would like to thank that sweet lady for a wasted trip and a sorry attitude. ![]() And again with a rude tone she said, Well, we stop entry at 3:30. I said oh! the thing my daughter read said 5:00pm. The girl by the computer was very rude and said no we are closed. Two people were behind the counter and a family shopping so I said Oh! are you open. We thought maybe someone had turned the sign by accident so I went and the door was open. Upon arrival the sign on the door said "closed". We traveled an hour to come on Memorial Day and got there at approximately 3:40 knowing good and well we would only have about an hour to walk around.
